What we fund, and what it costs
Weekly figures are indicative, on a commercial chattel mortgage over five years with a 30% residual. They are an estimate, not an offer of finance.
What you need
For most forklifts on a low doc application: an ABN, GST registration, your licence and an assets and liabilities statement. An ABN over two years opens the widest panel — we work with shorter trading histories too, usually with a deposit or property behind it. No financials for the majority of approvals.
We are a broker, not a lender: we take one application to a panel of 23 commercial lenders and put it where it actually fits, rather than where it happens to land.
Questions people actually ask
Can I finance a used forklift?
Yes. Age matters more than condition — most lenders fund units up to about 10 years old at settlement, and older with a deposit or property backing.
Do I need financials?
Usually not. With an ABN over two years and GST registration, most forklifts settle low doc — ID, an assets and liabilities statement, and that is often it.
Electric or LPG — does it change the finance?
No. The lender cares about the value, the age and your business, not the fuel. Electric costs more up front and less to run, which is a business decision, not a credit one.
Can I claim the GST?
If you are GST registered and it is a business asset, you generally claim the GST in your next BAS. Speak to your accountant about your situation.
