What we fund, and what it costs
Weekly figures are indicative, on a commercial chattel mortgage over five years with a 30% residual. They are an estimate, not an offer of finance.
What you need
For most vans and light trucks on a low doc application: an ABN, GST registration, your licence and an assets and liabilities statement. An ABN over two years opens the widest panel — we work with shorter trading histories too, usually with a deposit or property behind it. No financials for the majority of approvals.
We are a broker, not a lender: we take one application to a panel of 23 commercial lenders and put it where it actually fits, rather than where it happens to land.
Questions people actually ask
Do I need a truck licence?
Not for these. A 4.5 tonne GVM tipper is a car-licence truck, which is exactly why it is the most popular light truck we fund.
Van or ute for a trade?
A van locks up, fits out with racking and keeps tools dry. A ute carries longer material and tows more. The finance is identical; the job decides.
Can I finance a fit-out?
Racking and shelving can usually be included when they are invoiced with the vehicle. Fitted afterwards, they are a separate conversation.
Is a van treated as a car for tax?
Generally no. A commercial van built to carry more than one tonne is not a "car" for the car limit, so the GST and depreciation rules are more generous. Check with your accountant.
