The Terron 9 is LDV's bigger, more serious dual cab — a step up from the T60 in size and payload, aimed squarely at tradies who need a working ute without paying Ranger money for it. It carries the lowest weekly of any ute we advertise, which is the point of it.
The cheapest weekly we advertise
At this price the repayment stops being the thing that decides whether you can buy a ute at all, which is why this is usually the first vehicle we put in front of someone who has been declined elsewhere. A decline is very often not about the person — it is about the size of the repayment against their income. Drop the vehicle price and the same application can pass.
A work ute is usually a business asset
If you have an ABN and the Terron 9 is for work, a chattel mortgage is normally the right structure rather than a consumer car loan: the GST is claimable if you are registered, the interest is deductible, and a dual cab over one tonne payload sits outside the ATO car limit. It also takes you out of consumer lending, which usually means low doc and a faster answer. We can run it either way — tell Tui it is for the business and the questions change.
How we are different to walking into the dealer
The dealer's finance desk usually has one lender, or a couple, and is paid on the deal in front of them. We are a broker: one application goes across a panel, and the answer comes back from whoever actually fits your situation rather than whoever happens to be on the desk that day. If nobody fits yet, we say so and tell you what would change it — we do not dead-end you.
Get the finance before the car. A pre-approval gives you a ceiling and a rate, so you negotiate on the price of the LDV Terron 9 instead of on the repayment. It takes about 90 seconds with Tui and it does not touch your credit file.
Questions people actually ask
What does an LDV Terron 9 cost per week?
Our advertised figure is the cheapest dealer drive-away we can find, funded over five years at 8% p.a. with a 30% residual. It is the lowest weekly of any ute we advertise. Indicative, not an offer.
I have been knocked back before. Is a cheaper ute worth trying?
Often, yes. Most declines come down to the repayment being too big against the income, not the person being unfinanceable. A smaller loan on a cheaper vehicle is a different application, and it is the first thing we would try.
Do lenders finance LDV?
Yes. LDV is on our panel and has been in Australia long enough to have a resale track record. As with any value brand, some lenders set slightly tighter residuals, which is a reason to go across a panel.
Can I finance it as a business vehicle?
Yes, and usually you should if it is for work and you have an ABN. A chattel mortgage lets a GST-registered business claim the GST and deduct the interest, and it is generally a lighter application than a consumer loan. Ask your accountant about your own position.
